The Texas Circuit Finals wrapped up last night in Waco and when it’s described as a “mini NFR”…it’s no joke!

This week during the Texas Circuit Finals in Waco, the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo was awarded Rodeo of the Year in the PRCA Texas Circuit. Rodeos across the Lone Star State are divided up into three categories based on their total added money and are voted on by the PRCA Membership every fall. Cowboys vote for their favorite rodeos based on a variety of reasons. Things like good food in the hospitality area, good rodeo stock to perform on and win checks, good ground and quality facilities, ample parking, friendly faces in the rodeo office, added money and prizes…the list goes on! Here in Stephenville, the rodeo committee is very proud to provide all of the above and are pleased the effort put out was well received by contestants. Thank you for voting for Stephenville!
The perfect trifecta is: GREAT cowboys + GREAT fans + GREAT sponsors = a GREAT RODEO. When you start with a stellar stock contractor - Pete Carr Pro Rodeo - it will draw the best cowboys and cowgirls to make a great show to compete at and watch. A great show will draw in the best rodeo fans (by the thousands) because they want to have fun and watch an exciting rodeo. Thousands of fans will draw in sponsors, because they want to advertise and see their business promoted in front of a lot of people with a large following at a greatly produced event.
In Stephenville, we are so grateful and appreciative of everyone who has hand in our PRCA Rodeo every September! Special thanks to the City of Stephenville and Erath County Officials for being so supportive in turning the dream of having a facility like our community has…into a reality, where generations can gather to celebrate our Cowboy Capital Heritage for decades to come.
