STEPHENVILLE, Texas - Award winning PRCA Rodeo Doug Mathis is once again calling all the action at the 2026 Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo on September 24, 25, and 26 at the Priefert Cowboy Capital Fairgrounds Arena . Doug lives and breathes rodeo. He loves the rodeo fans and feels blessed to call ALL the action as the worldâs best professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls compete on the final weekend of the professional rodeo season. With every call out of a name with a time or a score, Doug knows the weight of his words. He is precise, exciting, and keeps fans on the edge of their seats! Doug has announced Stephenvilleâs Pro Rodeo for nearly the last 10 years and itâs very easy to see (and hear) that this rodeo is more than just another âgig.â Stephenville is very special to Doug as this is where he and his family calls home. When heâs not in the announcers stand during Rodeo Week, you will find Doug watching the parade or the mutton bustin with his grandson or one of the other events, happily enjoying all the festivities with his familyâŠjust like you.

FUN FACTS- Justin is a permanent âon air personalityâ on the Cowboy Channel, is the âin arena announcerâ for A LOT of rodeos across the country, lives right down the road in the Cranfills Gap area, and is a Fast Time Steer Roping Record Holder at Cheyenne (I canât find evidence this record has been broken đ€ ). And, overallâŠheâs just a pretty cool guy!
